Historic Homes!  Costumed Interpreters!  Period Music and Entertainment!  Waterfront Faire!  Carriage Rides!  Archeology! Children's Activities!  How did they do that? - demonstrations of crafts and trades!

Once a year, special homes are open to the public. Residents welcome you to their homes and docents (guides) will explain why these homes are truly exceptional. You will find buildings constructed from the late 1600's through the early 1900's in diverse architectural styles including Dutch, Federal, Georgian, Greek Revival and Victorian.The Waterfront and Preservation Faire along the beautiful Mohawk River -- offers crafts, colonial artifacts, food, children's activities, entertainment and historic boats. 

Park free at the Schenectady County Community College and other Public Parking Lots, just a short trolley ride or walk from the Stockade Historic District.

Reenacters explain wool making and 18th century toys.
