Age of Expansion:

This 1657 copy of an 1636 map. 1623-1637 is called the "Age of Expansion" due to the vast numbers of new colonists brought over. 

If you look closely, you can "key" in on  Schenectady. You may even find Lake Champlain... in the middle of New Hampshire!   Lake Ontario isn't known (or at least shown) at this time.  New Amsterdam shows the obligatory windmills in the legend, while on the left,  you can see a stockaded  settlement.
